Mrs. Cecelia Yauger, president of American Scholar, directs all organization strategic planning and student support services.
A former administrator and teacher, Mrs. Cecelia Yauger has over 35 years of teaching and administrative experience serving in the U.S. Education system. She taught elementary education, special education and has served as a special education supervisor, director, and the head administrator for a variety of school districts in western Pennsylvania. She has also provided consultation services in special education, curriculum development, educational leadership and strategic planning.
Mrs. Yauger graduated from Slippery Rock University in 1979 with a Bachelors of Science in Education, majoring in Elementary Education & Special Education. In 1985, she received a Masters in Education from Slippery Rock and completed the Letter of Eligibility Program at Westminster College in 1999. She has also held professional affiliations with the Association of Educational Service Agencies (AESA), American Association of School Administrators (AASA), and the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).
