ASG Students Tour University of Mount Union

May 9th, 2017 | School Tours

On Friday May 5th, seven ASG students had the opportunity to tour the University of Mount Union, in Alliance, Ohio.  After the students arrived, they were split up into two tour groups for a more intimate tour with current Mount students. Even in the rain, the campus was picturesque and well-maintained. After the tours, all the students reconvened about 11:30 for lunch in the main cafeteria where the students were able to taste authentic university cafeteria food. Joining the students at lunch were the Director of International Student Services and the Director of International Admissions. Of special interest on the menu were gnocchi, crab cakes, and homemade gelato. At 12:45 the students headed to a conference room for a presentation by the directors on Mount Union, specially geared for international applicants. Before the directors spoke, a Chinese Teaching Assistant talked to the students in their native language about his experiences at the university and answered any questions that they had. After the presentation, the students did a quick browse through the bookstore before gathering for a group photo in front of the Mount Union Rock, a boulder that all students are allowed to paint to promote various activities and events.  Our students thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the University of Mount Union and gained valuable knowledge that will assist them as they make their decisions on where to attend university.
