Be a Student Athlete in America

American Scholar is offering international students an opportunity to be a student athlete in an American high school located near two major U.S. sports cities, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Play American sports such as American football, basketball, and baseball as well as global sports such as soccer, track and field, tennis, volleyball, and golf while earning a high school diploma and preparing for attendance at a U.S. university.

This program is offered in partnership with American high schools in the state of Pennsylvania accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the United States Department of Education.

  • PLAY on organized high school teams

    • Gain experience and participate with American Students

  • STUDY 12th Grade in a U.S. High School

    • After-School tutoring support and counseling by certified subject teachers and advisors.

  • EARN a U.S. diploma and college credits

    • Earn up to one semester of university credits worth approximately $30,000 USD

  • BE SEEN by University coaches

    • Improve your chances of recruitment from top universities with scholarships.
    • Participate in sports camps run by university coaches.
Requirements

Students must be able to supply school transcripts and required medical records as well as pass a visa interview for study in the United States.

Deadline

Rolling deadline. Student athletes for fall sports will need to arrive early for practice and training over the summer.
