Greenville High School nominated for prestigious Blue Ribbon School Award

On January 19, 2017 Greenville High School received formal notification that they were a candidate for the prestigious National Blue Ribbon School award.  Among the nearly 3,300 schools in Pennsylvania, Greenville High School was one of only thirteen outstanding public schools nominated from the state.  According the U.S. Department of Education, “National Blue Ribbon Schools are public and nonpublic elementary, middle, and high schools that are producing outstanding results for all students.”  Officials from Greenville High School will complete and submit the extensive application this spring, with award recipients to be named later in the calendar year.  Recipients will be officially honored at the awards ceremony which takes place annually in Washington D.C.  The National Blue Ribbon Award is the highest distinction in the field of education of the United States government.
