A delegation from China is getting an up close look at education in Ohio.

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – A delegation from China is getting an up close look at education in Ohio.

On Monday, they visited three of the Lumen Christi Catholic Schools. Group members are from Jinan City, which is between Beijing and Shanghai.

They toured St. Charles school in Boardman, where they were impressed with the technology. The goal is to eventually have students from China come to Youngstown for school.

“They want to take our text books back with them to see where their students are at and compare them with where our students are, so that when they do come next year, they see exactly where all that learning is going on,” said Dr. Lois Cavucci of Lumen Christi schools.

Both parties exchanged gifts Monday afternoon to say thank you for the visit.

The Chinese delegation also visited St. Nicholas School in Struthers and St. Christine School in Youngstown.
