Prestigious University Presidents Inspire Students

Focus on what you love to do. Don’t let failure define you. Never give up on yourself. These are some of the words of wisdom given to Kennedy Catholic High School students from Mercyhurst University President Michael Victor during the school’s 2nd Annual College & University Presidents’ Week, which took place November 9th through the 13th. Victor delivered a highly motivating speech, full of his own personal growth experiences as well as inspiring anecdotes of successful alumni from Kennedy Catholic High School and Mercyhurst University. Sophomore Alice Vu said that President Victor’s presentation was interesting and fun because he brought the school’s mascot, “Luke” with him, who danced around and launched Mercyhurst University branded t-shirts to the students. Victor’s final piece of advice left the students full of laughter, “Be nice to the nerds, they’re going to be your boss someday.”
