The American Scholar Group (ASG) is a full service organization that seeks to provide international youth access to the American educational experience and to cultivate within them the necessary skills for leading lives of personal value. Our motivation is the American ideal and what it represents to the multitude of individuals who aspire to come to this nation. It is the allure of the American experience, rooted in the idea that in America you are more than just a number; you are an individual. At American Scholar, we strive to meet this ideal.
Divisions of The American Scholar Group
American Scholar Global Engagement (ASGE) ensures that:
The American Scholar brand name represents a common international, industrial standard with its own code of ethics
The ASG license is standard across the globe, enabling educational consultants to assure both potential students and institutions of higher learning that ASG is speaking a common language
International students can count on universities to follow through on their promises
The American Scholar University School grants international students the opportunity to earn American course credits that can be applied towards a U.S. High School diploma. In addition, those planning to attend universities in the United States can take Advanced Placement (AP) courses that could lead to college credits while still in high school. Finally, Cyber School, SAT and TOEFL training prepares students for entrance exams that gain access to top universities.
The American English Institute is changing the way the world learns American English. The institute seeks to establish the standard for American English by functioning both as an accreditation body that instills the correct pedagogy for educators, and as an educator of the language. Guiding students from beginning to advanced language levels, the institute fosters proficiency in all the linguistic domains of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
The American Scholar Leadership Institute (ASLI) emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and personal growth among its students. The primary functions of the leadership institute are to cultivate the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of all its students, to encourage leadership of youth by youth and to prepare our students to make meaningful contributions to their communities. The ASLI also prepares participants to be instructional leaders who can effectively bring about continuous school improvements that result in increased student achievement.
American scholar presents the American Baccalaureate program as an alternative to the British O & A levels and the Swiss International Baccalaureate. Its purpose is twofold: to provide both international students with a standardized American curriculum and American and international universities with a more efficient system for reviewing all prospective student’s grades and application materials. The American Baccalaureate offers students both courses and examinations in English, Foreign Languages, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, U.S. History, and European History. Two levels of assessment are available, the basic level G10 and the advanced level G12.
The American Scholar University Press (ASUP) produces printed and electronic publications that inform students, families, and organizations interested and involved in the education of international students in America. ASUP covers a vast array of topics related to international students studying and living abroad. ASUP connects current students, alumni, friends, and supporters of American Scholar Group together through multi-media formats.
