On Sunday, May 7th, ASG held its first-annual Senior Recognition Luncheon at the Avon Golf and Country Club in Sharon, Pennsylvania.  As the 2016-2017 school year draws to a close, ASG has thirty-one graduating seniors attending eight of our partner schools.  The invitation only event, featuring a gourmet steak dinner, allowed the ASG staff to honor our senior students for all of their tremendous academic achievements during their time with us.  Following the meal, ASG President Cecelia Yauger and Dean of Student Engagement Maria Morin presented a series of awards, including the Best Attendance Award to Yerim Won, Ohm Chawit Wattanakanjana, Anna Yuqin He, and Amy Huizhen Li.  Max Xiaomeng Ma earned the distinction of Summa Cum Laude, while Violet Tong Pang, Felicity Shuying He, Jason Yuan Sun, and Yale Yihong Ye were all recognized with Magna Cum Laude.  The award of Cum Laude went to Robin Jawon Song, Alex Weiyi Zhu, Peter Kefan Zhang, Maria Matuszewska, and Zoe Kun Luo.  Three class of 2017 students also received academic scholarships for their university studies: Valedictorian Max Ma received the ASG Gold Scholarship, Salutatorian Violet Pang received the ASG Silver Scholarship, and Felicity He received the ASG Bronze Scholarship.  Following the presentation of awards, Anna He delivered a moving speech reflecting on her time at ASG, which brought a standing ovation from her peers and tears to many eyes.  Additionally, the Vision Club created a power point to commemorate the experiences of our seniors.  The event was brought to a conclusion with remarks from ASG Executive Chairman David Ho who extended an open invitation to all alumni who wish visit us at any time in the future.  The senior luncheon provided a terrific opportunity to honor our graduating seniors and recognize their terrific achievements. Good luck to our seniors in all their upcoming endeavors!
